HS - Digipack Production Task

- The first thing I did before designing my digipack was to do some research on print work that has been created previously for the artist we are wanting to use, Flume.

- Their print work generally had small amounts of text, and the focus was mainly on the interesting and vibrant backgrounds, presumably to catch the viewers attention.

- Firstly, I found a stock image to use as my background. The image I chose stood out to me due to the vibrant colours in the sunset. I believe they really catch the eye. I also really liked the trees as the dark colours contrasted with bright colours to give the image more substance.

- I noticed that the fonts they usually use are basic but due to the large font size and contrasting colours I believe they are very effective and stand out. I tried to capture this in digipack, using a large white font to stand out against the dark colours in the background.

- I also noticed they use a smaller font to give the name of the song. I followed this convention and used a smaller font underneath the main font to give the name of the song.

- I really like the font I used as it looks like handwriting and therefore I believe that it connects with viewers well through para-social intimacy.

- I adjusted the colours in the background image by adjusting the colour balance and increasing the amount of blue as I believe it made the image softer and allowed the font to stand out more.
