-I used the clone stamp tool to simplify the image and remove any unnecessary features, I particularly focused on cloning the background to make it completely black to place emphasis on the tree.
-I used the selection tool to remove objects within the image, for example removing a backpack on the rock and replacing it with another section of rock, using the clone stamp tool to smooth it out
-I placed a filter over the entire image to create a grainy effect, something that is fairly conventional of the indie rock genre
-I then placed the Band name/ Album title over the top of the image, situating it at the bottom right of the cover. I applied a colour overlay and the 'satin' effect over the text to ensure that it blended in with the background image effectively
well done Dan, detailed comments and a lo fi representation but some creative ideas employed. Ensure the size is right when you come to do the real thing.
